Lucy Martin Bridal creates simple, contemporary wedding dresses for modern brides. Gaining inspiration from both past and present Lucy is best known for her timeless and contemporary designs which elongate the silhouette and flow effortlessly. She uses contrasting fabric to add texture and has a variety of two piece options to add versatility.
Her collection is inspired by the principle of simple elegance. She designs dresses with clean lines to accentuate the beautiful curves of the female form. This combined with using the finest quality fabrics results in dresses that sculpt the figure and flow with natural effortlessness.
Lucy Martin Bridal was founded in 2009, although Lucy's love for design and creating beautiful pieces started at a much earlier age. “My mother is a brilliant seamstress and growing up we were always designing and creating outfits for either myself, or my sisters. Even then, I loved coming up with a design and seeing it through to the finished article.”
Lucy stared her creative career working for Virgin where she produced big brand events and experiences. The philosophy of fun that she discovered there has always stuck with her and after becoming a bride herself and designing her own wedding dress, she quit the 9 to 5 to get back to doing what she loves and designed her first wedding dress collection.
Lucy believes brides should start enjoying their wedding experience from the moment they start working with her and prides herself in offering a truly personal service. She wants each of her brides to have a relaxed time with an array of design options. They can choose direct from her collection, use one of her dresses as the foundation for a unique design or work with her to create a totally bespoke dress. Each dress is made using traditional couture techniques by her experienced team in London who have worked in the bridal industry for over 30 years.
“I am continually inspired by the positivity that surrounds weddings. I love designing a dress that means so much to someone, and knowing that I am playing a little part in their big day.”
